Hurley's
This evening I was dining with Doug and Ryan Hill along with Bruce from the Hill Family Estate. We met at their tasting room located in Yountville and then walked from there towards Hurley's. The hot, afternoon Napa sun had given way to a refreshingly cool evening breeze. Yountville is about a 10 minute drive from Napa, a tiny little town with one main street...and this little street is full of some of the most famous restaurants in the world.
We sat
in the
garden
with a fountain
bubbling
right across from the hills
as the sun was setting,
setting the hills onto fire....
Chef Bob Hurley used to be the sous chef for Philippe Jeanty at Domaine Chandon and then was the chef at the Napa Valley Grille. The cuisine at his present locale has a Mediterranean influence and the emphasis is on wild game and seasonal fare.
